Chris Talleri
I have been in full time ministry for more than 20 years in churches and as a hospital/hospice Chaplain and I see the need for biblical counseling in our area. I am currently the teaching pastor at FBC in Bayfield and work as a Chaplain for Mercy Hospice and Mercy Hospital. I love to provide counseling to my patients and church members and have a desire to expand this to the community as a whole. I have a bachelors in Biblical Studies from East Texas Baptist University and a masters degree in Christian Education from Dallas Baptist University. I have spent the majority of my life in ministry with a desire to help those who are struggling through some of life’s toughest problems and I believe I can help you too!
why biblical counseling?
We do not reject many of the ideas found in traditional counseling, but as Christians we believe we should always start with God’s word as our source for guidance. The vast majority of our problems and conflicts in life can be solved by digging into God’s word and following the truth that we find there, so we believe strongly this is where we should start. Our counselors have expertise in the Christian scriptures and this will be the sole source for their counsel to all clients and our counselors will engage in prayer and scripture reading with each client throughout all sessions.
Where we are located
All sessions will be held in person at our office in the Professional Suites at 329 S Camino Del Rio in the same shopping center as Office Depot on the North end of Bodo Park in Durango. We are located in Unit X near the end of the hallway on the right. We are only accepting appointments on Fridays between 7am and 7pm and we hope to expand our availability for new clients in the near future
